Orange is the New Black is back and fans are STILL divided on that theme song

THE ANIMALS, THE ANIMALS…

orange Netflix Netflix

THIS MORNING, NETFLIX subscribers were treated to a wonderful gift in the form of the third season of Orange is the New Black.

People have either spent the day watching it…

Or the day preparing to watch it.

The consensus so far is that it is still pretty much the best thing since sliced bread with the series currently boasting a rating of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

But while we all might agree that the show is great, the public can’t seem to agree on one crucial issue — is the theme song any good?

If you watch Orange is the New Black, you are no doubt familiar with the show’s opener, You’ve Got Time by Regina Spektor.

(You can listen to it in full here.)

Unlike the universally beloved theme songs to, say, The Simpsons or Cheers, Spektor’s song has proven to be incredibly divisive.

Some people love it!

It brings joy to so many people!

But there are also so many haters

It’s just too goddamned long

80 seconds, to be precise

Which, contrary to the song’s lyrics, we do not have time for

It’s not all bad, though — there have been converts!

So, what do you think of the Orange is the New Black theme song?
