PHOTOS: Man pays for a car using small change

The businessman turned up at a car dealership in China with the equivalent of €19,500 in small notes and coins.

IF YOU’VE EVER wondered what to do with the small change floating around in your wallet, here’s a suggestion: buy a car.

A man in China has done exactly that: the businessman turned up at a car dealership this week with ten bags of notes and coins containing 153,000 yuan (around €19,500). Just to make for some extra work, none of the note or coins were worth more than 10 cents each.

The man had accumulated the money from his food additives business where many customers paid in small amounts of cash.

The biggest problem he faced? Trying to find a car dealership that would actually accept the huge amounts of cash. Apparently it took them several hours and most of their staff to actually get through all the cash. Long day…
