THERE WAS A pizza controversy in the US this weekend.
Freshly-minted New York mayor Bill de Blasio came under heavy fire on Twitter after shocking images emerged. The images – brace yourself – showed him eating pizza with a knife and fork.
His actions drew swift condemnation from New Yorkers, who on the whole prefer to eat their pizza with their hands, by the slice.
De Blasio, meanwhile, defended himself by saying that his knife-and-fork method is what they do in Italy.
