HAVE YOU EVER fancied owning your own private island?
The 780-acre James Island off the coast of Vancouver, Canada is currently on the market for… $75 million (€60.6 million).
The Sotheby’s International Realty listing for the island says that it has a “rich and documented history”, having previously been an agricultural settlement, a company town and an industrial site.
Favourable features include white sandy beaches, a diverse ecology, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, and close proximity to the city of Victoria.
Meanwhile, the 5,000-square-foot owner’s residence comes complete with its own private docks and an airstrip for easy access.
