FED UP OF PEOPLE freeloading off your Wi-Fi network? Wi-Fi blocking wallpaper has been developed by scientists to protect your broadband from your neighbours.
Gizmodo.com reports that the wallpaper, which is an invention of The Institut Polytechnique Grenoble INP and the Centre Technique du Papier, is coated in silver crystals that are arranged in such a way that they block certain wireless frequencies.
The wallpaper is silver, so it might not suit your interior design taste, but it does have a snowflake pattern if you’re into that sort of thing.
There is one issue with this new invention – windows. Unless you want your house covered floor-to-ceiling in silver snowflake wallpaper, you will need to wait until they develop the clear coated wallpaper that will cover the windows. Or you could simply put a password on your Wi-Fi?
The Wi-Fi blocking wallpaper will be available in 2013.
