This wonderful Robin Williams graffiti in Dublin has been torn down

Sad.

OVER THE LAST few days, street artist Pan Cooke created this rather beautiful graffiti tribute to Robin Williams on the Newtown Park Road in Blackrock, south Dublin.

Sadly, the tribute – which featured on DailyEdge.ie in the wake of Williams’ death – has since been torn down.

Pan Cooke confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that the image had been removed, and said it happened on the night of the Leaving Cert results. ”Assuming drunk students,” he said.

He has said that he hopes to resurrect the image around the area soon.

Last night, there were emotional scenes in central Dublin at a screening of Dead Poets Society, as the whole crowd stood to applaud at the end of the film.
