As class as she’s proved herself to be as an actor, Reese has also willingly participated in a lot of shite – this included. Mediocre acting and predictable plot aside, there’s still something about this that will make you pine for home.

Ah yes, your standard ‘two lovers separated but making the best of it’ tome adaption, played by very good looking people Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried.
A quick disclaimer – this is probably sadder than most of the others featured on the list, so in the event that you’re of a certain emotional temperment, avoid at all costs.
4. The Proposal
As far as rom coms go, this is decent for a giggle. Faced with deportation to her native Canada, high-powered book editor Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) says she’s engaged to marry Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), her hapless assistant. Andrew agrees to the charade, but imposes a few conditions of his own.
Would you really be that put out about fake-marrying either of them? That’s the real question. Also, why is Betty White not my grandmother?
5. The Ugly Truth
This is one that can absolutely be classified as terrible and one that has absolutely not aged well. “Haha, isn’t it gas how men only care about sex?” “Women only want long-term commitment and tradition!” Ok Gerard and Katherine, give it a rest.
A romantically challenged morning show producer is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an “unexpected” result.
Wonder what that could be, eh?

Baltimore-based friends and lovers, all in their 20s and 30s, try to navigate their way through the complexities of modern relationships.
This is one of those ones that has loads of celebs and loads of light stories, so not too taxing on the old brain.

8. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days
Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) is an advertising executive and ladies’ man who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Andie Anderson is a journalist for “Composure” magazine and is assigned to write an article on “How to Lose a Guy in 10 days”. What could possibly happen next?
9. Made Of Honour
Serial date Tom (Patrick Dempsey, aka McDreamy) realises he loves his best friend … Just as she asks him to be in her bridal party. Awkward enough.
You don’t need to be Mystic Meg to know how this ends, but Dempsey is just so tolerable.
10. 27 Dresses
Picture the creative meeting – “ok, let’s write a movie based entirely off the phrase, ‘always the bridesmaid, never the bride’.”

11. The Back Up Plan
This belongs on the list for Alex McLaughlin alone. As far as Jennifer Lopez’ performance, it’s nowhere near her best performance. Enjoyable overall, though.
