Room to improve

The Room To Improve 'best bits' episode had everyone missing quantity surveyor Patricia

Plus, more reflections from the series that was.

DERMOT BANNON HOSTED a Room To Improve best bits to mark the end of the series this week.

It featured Dermot reliving some of the most memorable do-ups over the years, of which there have been plenty. Dermot’s been at it for 11 (eleven!!!) years.

Twitter joined in on the collective reflecting that went on, including how the makeover show affects the calendar year and whether Dermot was right about country kitchens.

It’s April 9th, get the barbeque out.

The programme also included a lovely tribute to the late Dr Ann Louise Gilligan, wife of Minister for Children Katherine Zappone. Dermot did up their house in Brittas during the seventh series of the show.

Just lovely.

Some familiar faces cropped up, most notably previous quantity surveyor Patricia.

So, what’s Patricia up to now?

Dermot told Dermot & Dave on Today FM last month:

QS Patricia has four kids and she was just finding the travel really difficult. She had two kids when she started off Room To Improve and it was just too busy.
We always do a couple of projects down the country and she was trying to keep herself Dublin-based.”

So there you go.
