Like a Boss

Ruth Negga has (probably) had a blind item written about her and she comes off like a total boss

So glam.

RUTH NEGGA STUNNED on the red carpet over the weekend in a custom-made Valentino gown.

Negga was also sporting a blue ribbon in support of the American Civil Liberties Union, an organisation that works “to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.”

Negga told People Magazine that she was motivated to wear the ribbon due to her love of “basic love of human rights” and noted the significant role the ACLU played in her film Loving.

They’re a big part of our film, you know. Our film features two American Civil Liberties Union lawyers who change the constitution of the United States of America for the better, and I’m all for that.

And now it looks like this little accessory might have just inspired a rather juicy blind gossip item.

Blind Gossip, one of the internet’s leading purveyors of blind gossip items, writes, “One of the actresses at last night’s Oscars wore a beautiful gown. She  accessorized with a large ribbon for a ’cause’.”

“She interacted with a lot of people, but the ribbon did not exactly bring her the attention she wanted.”

At the party, she was complaining, “I don’t understand why more people aren’t asking me about my ribbon! I want to talk about the ribbon but they only want to talk about the film. They don’t seem to understand that the ribbon and the film are the same thing. Why don’t they want to talk about it?”

And here comes the best bit.

She did say that she did one interview on the red carpet, where, as she was leaving, she heard the interviewer comment to the cameraman, “Did she look in the mirror before she put that ribbon on? Way to ruin an Oscar Gown!” She said, “I just turned around and said ‘I HEARD THAT!’ and walked away.”

I HEARD THAT.
