Scottish lad successfully makes contact with Irish girl following Twitter appeal

OVER THE WEEKEND, a Scottish man named David Anderson put a call out on Twitter to make contact with an Irish girl named Aoife he had met in Edinburgh.

Anderson had failed to get the girl’s surname or phone number and set up a Twitter account in the hopes of tracking her down.

I have no followers but I’m hoping someone sees this. Looking for a girl named Aoife from Ireland, was in Edinburgh on Tuesday night.

The tweet soon went massively viral and Twitter rallied to try help track Aoife down.

Today, an elated David took to Twitter to announce that he had indeed found Aoife.

He has since deleted his Twitter account, but has received numerous messages from well wishers.

Romance is alive and well.
