So these 1990s stars now have reality TV shows...

Toni and T-Boz and Tamera, oh my!

REALITY TELEVISION HAS recently experienced an influx of ’90s glamour as celebs whose careers are waning somewhat take the reality TV route to a fuller bank account.

T-Boz from TLC hit the screen in Totally T-Boz, a show that explores her efforts to break out as a solo artist.  Unfortunately it would seem that no one told bandmate Chilli about the show’s premise.

Tia and Tamera are back on TV as well, and it turns out they are even more annoying in real life than they were on Sister, Sister.

Toni Braxton is attempting to unbreak her bankruptcy via Braxton Family Values, a series which follows the lives and interactions of her and her 4 sisters.  This one is a good’un, mostly because of her sister Tamar, who announces in the first episode of the series that she “…actually always wanted to have an Asian daughter, and I want to raise her as a black girl and name her Disney.”

Before we go…

Let’s take a moment to remember some of the celebrity driven reality shows of the past.

In the ill-fated House of Carters, Nick and Aaron Carter and their family warn people of the dangers of growing up in Hollywood by allowing cameras into their lives.

Britney and Kevin: Chaotic offered us unique insight into her world just before it all fell apart.

And of course, reality pioneers Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, who changed the face of television with their series Newlyweds.  All together now – “Is this chicken what I have or fish?”
