Watch this child win $30,000... and stay ice-cool

You don’t get to be spelling champion by losing it at confetti.

KNOWING HOW TO spell ‘knaidel’ was the clincher that won Arvind Mahankali the 2013 national spelling championships in the US.

(It’s a kind of dumpling, in case you’re wondering.)

Here’s the moment the 13-year-old nailed it. And stayed totally cool while everyone else lost it.

Arvind will now take home $30,000 worth of cash and prizes, along with what NBC called “a large cup-shaped trophy”.

Among the words he had to spell were ‘dehnstufe’, ‘glossophagine’, ‘crapaud’ and ‘trichocercous’.
