This video of men painting lettering on the road is strangely mesmerising

Spoiler: they don’t use stencils.

IT MAY SOUND boring, but this timelapse video capturing two city workers painting ‘bus stop’ on the road is oddly fascinating and insightful.

The video was filmed by Tom Williams, who writes:

A short film of two craftsmen at work. Happened to see them at work very early one morning and grabbed the camera.Street typography in action.

If nothing else, it will give you a new appreciation for the mad skills required to paint ‘bus stop’ freehand on the road without the aid of a stencil.
