BROTHERS NEIL AND Michael Fletcher were hunting grouse in Ontario when they spotted an eagle in the woods.
According to CBC, the pair moved in to get a closer look and found the eagle struggling with its talon caught in a trap.
It was relieving to see that it was still alive. I knew we had to do something right away.
They draped a jumper over its head to keep it calm and they began trying to free the bird of prey.
Once they got the eagle out, Neil obviously suggested a selfie.
The most epic of animal selfies resulted. Michael told the Sudbury Star that the bird was basically majestic.
I was surprised by the size, and that it’s such a beautiful bird. When you see the eyes up close, they’re really amazing.
The eagle was then set free, safe in the knowledge that they got its good side. Lads.
