The Guardian made a wholly incorrect statement about Cork people yesterday

YESTERDAY, THE GUARDIAN published a profile of actor Cillian Murphy to coincide with the return of Peaky Blinders next month.

But when profiling the Corkman, they made a rather egregious error — they called Cork people “modest”.

“Corkonian modesty,” you say? We take if you’ve never been to Cork then.

Irish readers were quick to see the humour in the mistake.
