14 things all Flannery's regulars know to be true

Long live Flannerys!

1. Your night rarely begins in Flannery’s…

Most of the time, you stagger in there well after midnight following an evening of solid pre-drinking.

2. But it rarely ends there either

Flannery’s + Coppers = a classic combination.

3. Plus you never have to worry about paying admission

4. Although you do still have to make it past the bouncers

Let’s face it, though: you’re probably on first name terms with all of them.

5. You never know who you’re going to bump into while hanging out in its vast smoking area/beer garden

Such is the magic of Flannery’s.

6. You can always depend on it to play absolute bangers

7. As well as the perennial old favourites…

Country Roads, Don’t Stop Believing, Jump Around, Shipping Up To Boston, etc.

8. A night in there isn’t complete without commemorating it with a very special keyring

A rite of passage for all Flannery’s regulars.

9. Whatever happens, the floor always has your back in there

10. As do the, er, walls

Always there for your lipstick check.

11. You’ve either spent a small fortune on the punching machines or stood back in awe watching other people have a go on them

12. If you’re not from Dublin, it can function as a bit of a home away from home

Culchies unite!

13. Especially on All-Ireland weekend when it’s awash with GAA jerseys

14. In short? Long live Flannery’s!
