Thom Yorke sent an e-mail to fans slagging off social media last night

Yorke expressed “respect” for those who don’t engage in social media.

AS YOU MAY have heard, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke released an album last week. Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes is Yorke’s first solo album in eight years and was released exclusively via the Torrent site BitTorrent.

This morning, Yorke sent an e-mail to fans in which he reminded them that he had released an album. If you hadn’t heard and it was because you abstain from social media, then Thom wants you to know that he’s okay with that.

In fact, he respects you.

Yes, it is 2014 and Thom Yorke is slagging off social media.

As a few users have pointed out, Yorke is himself an avid user of social media with accounts on both Twitter and Instagram.

Here’s a tweet he sent earlier today:

Good one, Thom.

There was something amiss at the Luas safety launch today >

So, what do you think of the star-studded God Only Knows cover?
