THE COUNTRY WAS shocked and just a little confused when it emerged that a man had crashed his car into the front gates of Trinity College Dublin (or should we say Trinity College, the University of Dublin) this morning, causing sizeable damage.
The historic gates are iconic for Trinity and Dublin city as a whole, but for every person lamenting their damage there are five more having a big laugh about it.
Sure if we can’t make a joke, what can we do?
