What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

This is the telly everyone will be talking about.

Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

New series. Host Brendan O’Connor and guests Linda Martin, Colm Hayes and Jennifer O’Connell take a provocative and entertaining look at the week’s news from Ireland and around the world, from the big stories, to the nuggets of information that may have escaped the public’s attention.

Married At First Sight (Channel 4, 9.00pm)

New series. Return of the romantic reality experiment in which experts select compatible couples from a list of applicants, then invite them to marry. The first two couples heading down the aisle are nurse Steph and property manager Jonathan, and office manager Verity and IT consultant Jack. How will they react when they first set eyes on one another on their wedding day? I mean, what could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Mums Make Porn (Channel 4, 10.00pm)

New series. Five mothers come together to research the realities of free online porn and the impact it is having on their children’s generation. Shocked by what they see, they decide to make their own alternative porn film, addressing the issues that matter the most to them. Some of the mothers find the process harder than others, especially when they embark on visits to porn sets.

Everyone’s talking about: Stranger Things

The trailer for season three just dropped. Prepare to be absolutely freaked about the fact that they’re all teenagers now.

  • First Dates (E4, 10.00pm) More singletons enter the restaurant looking for love.
  • Horrible Bosses (ITV2, 9.00pm) A power-crazed bully, a sleazy cocaine addict and a sexual predator each make an employee’s life a misery, but the three workers cannot afford to quit their jobs. They resort to desperate measures by conspiring to murder each other’s bosses, with a little help from an eccentric ex-convict.
