Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (TV3, 9.00pm)

The entertainment variety show continues, with James Corden taking time out from his busy schedule across the Atlantic to join the Geordie duo as this week’s star guest announcer. Plus, there is more spoof mystery as Ant and Dec once again put their OBEs to use as part of a task force of celebrity secret agents with honours. Stephen Mulhern is in Reading for the latest edition of In for a Penny, and in celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s upcoming 70th birthday, the End of the Show Show features some of his best-loved numbers in the studio.

Death of a Superhero (RTÉ Two, 9.30pm)

When a typical teenage boy is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, he turns to the fantasy world as he struggles to cope with reality. With the help of a therapist, family, friends and his first love, he decides to fight the sickness. Drama, starring Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Lilly Forgach and Ian Fitzgibbon.

Crufts (Channel 4, 7.00pm)

Clare Balding presents live coverage of the judging of the Vulnerable Breeds, Utility and Toy Groups, and highlights of the Agility and Flyball competitions. Plus, a selection of reports involving rescue dogs, taking a look at the renovation of Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home following a fire and revealing why foreign rescue dog charities are growing in popularity. Plus, training tips with Carolyn Meneteith and advice on canine health from Noel Fitzpatrick.
