LAST NIGHT, UNBREAKABLE: The Mark Pollock Story aired on RTÉ One. The documentary follows adventurer and athlete Mark Pollock, who lost his sight at the age of 22 and became paralysed from the waist down following an accident in 2010.

The moving film tells the story of Pollock’s rehabilitation after his accident and elicited an incredible reaction from viewers last night.

Many hailed Pollock as an inspiration.

There was equally high praise for Pollock’s fiancé Simone George.

For many, it helped put our own petty gripes into perspective.

While others were inspired to make changes in their lives.

The documentary itself won acclaim.

And “Like everything, the end is just the start” became a commonly uttered refrain across Ireland.

If you missed Unbreakable: The Mark Pollock Story, it is available to view on RTÉ Player now.
