These sexist signs have sparked controversy at a US college today

The “freshman daughter drop off” is getting so much hate.

A COLLEGE IN the US is all over the internet today because of signs that were hung outside a frat house on the opening day of term.

As reported by a local news station originally, the banners have not gone down well at all:

The signs originally went viral on Facebook, but have since gone on to cause all sorts of controversy over the last 24 hours because of their content, as the University in Virginia have been inundated with requests to investigate.

People on Twitter were quick to denounce them anyway

People said they just weren’t acceptable

The administration for Old Dominion University quickly released a statement on the issue:

Messages like the ones displayed yesterday by a few students on the balcony of their private residence are not and will not [be] tolerated. The moment University staff became aware of these banners, they worked to have them removed.

The story started getting national and international coverage

The saga has been going on for some time now, but none of the people living in the frat house have been named yet.

Still, it looks like the signs have become infamous already

*sigh*
