VICKY PHELAN’S STORY is one of immense tragedy and something which has gripped the country for the last few weeks. Vicky has terminal cancer having been wrongly given a negative smear test in 2011. She recently took the US laboratory who wrongly gave her the all clear to court and won.
So having dealt with stuff that should have never happened, Vicky and her family could do with some good news. Step up the Ray D’arcy show who have played an absolute blinder.

Vicky and her daughter Amelia attended the Ed Sheeran concert in Cork City on Sunday night and were treated to something incredibly special. Will Hanafin the producer of the Ray D’arcy show arranged for Amelia to meet Ed after the show and it just looked lovely.
It was an absolutely wonderful gesture from Will and fair play to Ed for agreeing to do it too. They say you should never meet your heroes and by the sounds of it, Amelia is one hell of a fan of Ed. We’re all glad that Ed proved an exception to the rule and hopefully it makes life a little brighter in the Phelan household.
