A five-star performance from the singer left fans wanting more as Glasto came to a close last night.

BEYONCÉ’s CLOSING PERFORMANCE at Glastonbury wowed festival-goers witnessing a rare female act headlining the music extravaganza’s main stage on the final day.

“Gobsmacking” was the verdict of The Guardian who gave her five-stars and lavished praise on a performance that wowed the thousands there and the millions who watched at home on TV.

The ‘bootylicious’ star told the BBC afterwards that it was a career highlight for her to perform in front of the thousands at the world-famous Worthy farm in Somerset.

She said she believed her husband Jay-Z’s controversial but ultimately successfully headlining of the festival in 2008 paved the way for her show last night:
