What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Tiernan’s surprise comedy talk show was a highlight of last year, and now it’s finally back. Who will he have on tonight? Well, we don’t know, and neither does he.

Avengers, Age of Ultron (RTE 2, 9pm)

The second Avengers movie. The team face a threat when Iron Man creates an AI to take their place protecting the world. Obviously, it turns against them.

Celebrity Mastermind (BBC 1, 7pm)

Who doesn’t love Mastermind, and who doesn’t love celebrities’ weird topics? This week we have comedian John Robins, The Only Way is Essex star Lydia Bright, and British MP Tim Farron who pick, Dirty Harry films, Sex and the City, and Blackburn Rovers.
