Where are they now: the cast of Home Alone

A look at what the stars of the Christmas classic Home Alone are doing now…

HOME ALONE is one of those Christmas TV staples we find it hard to turn off whenever we come across it.

The sequels were good – but there’s nothing like the original.

Here’s what the cast is up to now:

Where are they now: the cast of Home Alone
1 / 11
  • 1. Devin Ratray, aka the insufferable older brother Buzz, has mostly laid low, but is currently shooting R.I.P.D. alongside Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon.

  • 2. Catherine O'Hara continues to be formidably awesome in films like Away We Go and For Your Consideration. We particularly loved her in Orange County.

  • 3. Same goes for John Heard, who was in the recent series The Chicago Code and will next appear in the Brittany Snow flick Would You Rather.

  • 4. John Candy passed away in 1994 aged 43.

  • 5. Roberts Blossom, Kevin's frightening old neighbour with a heart of gold, passed away earlier this year aged 87.

  • 6. Bonus: did you know Hope Davis (Mildred Pierce, In Treatment) was the French ticket agent in the movie?

  • 7. Oscar winner Joe Pesci was recently in The Good Shepherd.

  • 8. Daniel Stern most recently popped up in Whip It!

  • 9. Michael Maronna, who played the brother named Jeff, now works as an electrician on film sets. (He also was the big Pete on Pete & Pete.)

  • 10. Macaulay Culkin is rarely heard from these days (he testified on Michael Jackson's behalf and attended the star's funeral). And randomly, mere weeks ago, he hosted a party called Macaulay Culkin's iPod at a bar in Manhattan's West Village. So there's that.

  • 11. He was a tot in the movie, but now Macaulay's kid brother Kieran is working steadily in Hollywood with films like Igby Goes Down and Scott Pilgrim vs The World.
