LAST NIGHT’S GRAHAM Norton Show featured a lineup of Jamie Oliver, Jenna Coleman, Tom Chaplin and Will Smith.
One topic that always seems to be brought up when Smith is on is the possibility of a Fresh Prince of Bel Air reboot – but the actor was quick to shut it down this time:
“Man, I’d have to be Uncle Phil in that one. I’m 50.”
He then gave a sample of what the ridiculous dialogue would have to be if it was relaunched:
“Like, ‘come on Aunt Viv, I’m 50, I can’t go out on my own?’”
Well played.
Graham brought up this photo from last year that had got fans chattering about a potential reunion
Will explained:
Every year Karen has a charitable event where she hosts a lunch with the cast of Fresh Prince. We do that every year where we have 10 or 12 people from around the world that have won this lunch. That’s in Los Angeles and the people flew in and we have the lunch with the fans who gave the most to charity.
Given he said he’d have to be Uncle Phil in a new show – they finally got on to *that* bungee jump where Smith looked remarkably like the late James Avery
Smith was loving it: “It was all the blood rushing to my head! Who’s going through it frame by frame to see that?”
As ever, he was the most popular addition to the couch
Maybe he could actually pull off a 30-year-old Fresh Prince?
He was in top form throughout
