A PIZZA DELIVERY WOMAN was hailed as a hero after she may have saved the life of an elderly American woman who ate pizza daily.
Jean Wilson, 82 and from Memphis in Tennessee , normally ordered a large, thin-crust pepperoni pizza from her local Domino’s every day for the last three years, reports local news channel WMC-TV.
But when delivery driver Susan Guy noticed that Wilson hadn’t phoned in her usual order in three days she became so concerned she paid a visit to the elderly woman’s house.
After the door went unanswered, Guy alerted authorities. When they gained entry to the house Wilson was found to be lying on the floor.
Investigators later said that the woman’s pizza-only diet may have saved her life.
