The new Beauty and the Beast film will feature Disney's first ever gay scene... It's the Dredge

Wow! That and the rest of the day’s celebrity dirt, in here.

EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.

Actor Devon Murray (AKA Seamus Finnigan) recently came across a rather strange memento from the Harry Potter set… A pair of Emma Watson’s socks.

The Kildare native tweeted about his discovery, but probably didn’t expect the reaction he got from other members of the cast:

(And that’s Percy Weasley.)

But Devon can explain! He just robbed socks a lot:

Sure Devon. Sure.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are no more. Ack!

The couple, who had been going out for a year, released a joint statement earlier today saying they would be taking “respectful, loving space at this time”.

Is “respectiful, loving space” the new “conscious uncoupling”?

They’re still close, by all accounts – they posed for a picture together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday night, and yesterday Orlando posted an Instagram with Katy’s dog Butters:

Aw. (Daily Mail)

Here’s an interesting one – the upcoming live action version of Beauty and the Beast features Disney’s first gay scene.

Director Bill Condon has revealed that Gaston’s manservant Le Fou (Frozen’s Josh Gad) is confused about his sexuality and attracted to his boss (played by Luke Evans):

Le Fou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston… It’s somebody who’s just realising that he has these feelings. And Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it.

The scene has been hailed as a “watershed moment” for Disney by gay magazine Attitude. Amazing. (Attitude)
