‘Bum pads’ are now for sale in Penneys

Enhancers for your bum, ladies.

Pic: Penneys

THIS IS A set of bum pads.

They are now on sale in Penneys, the juggernaut of the Irish high street. And yes, they are the buttock equivalent of chicken fillets for your bra.

After a Reddit user spotted the bum enhancers in a store earlier today, we were (frankly) intrigued. So we did a small bit of digging.

The pads – which are essentially a pair of pants with a bum shape moulded on the back, at €7 a throw – are designed for “people with athletic figures or flat bums”, a Penneys spokesperson told They give definition “to the apple of the buttock”.

It’s not known how they would react to the acid test of someone copping a feel during the slow set.  But the US version, ‘Booty Pop’ shorts, has existed for some time.

They even provide this handy before-and-after diagram:

We don’t know if the lollipop comes free.
