THE LAST FEW weeks have not been kind to Snapchat.
The popular social media platform underwent a redesign that everybody seems to hate including Kylie Jenner who caused the platform to lose $1.3 billion in stock when she let everyone know about it.

Then Snapchat released a tone deaf poll about whether users would rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown which knocked another $600 million off the stock price once Rihanna had had her say on the matter.
Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain’t my fav app out there! But I’m just trying to figure out what the point was with this mess! I’d love to call it ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb!
Now model Chrissy Teigen has revealed she’s stopped using Snapchat too with the scandal involving Rihanna appearing to be the final straw for her.
I stopped using snap. The update, the constant complaints of people not being able to find me, plus the Rihanna poll...no bueno

This will not be good news for Snapchat whose stock price appears to be fluctuating more than Dermot Bannon’s attitude to budgets.
Whether Chrissy Teigen leaving the platform will have an effect with regards to users leaving it remains to be seen but given how influential she appears to be on Twitter, her followers may stop using the platform entirely.
When questioned by users on Twitter as to why she’d left the app rather than trying to work with Snapchat, she was pretty clear.
Except concerns have been brought up for months and this isn't different from any other company where quality affects sales. Everyone has been very vocal about the changes and frustrations. Consumers shouldn't *have* to work with companies beyond that.

It’ll be interesting to see if any other major celebrities decide to make like Rihanna and ‘Throw the whole app-oligy away.’
