Dog takes the bus to meet her owner at the park, all by herself

Public transport has gone to the dogs.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT CAN be ruff, but Eclipse the dog doesn’t seem to mind.

In Seattle, the 2-year-old black Labrador has made headlines for taking the bus to the park for a walk, all by herself.

A few times a week, Eclipse boards the bus and takes a seat by the window – all the better to see where her stop is.

Her owner, Jeff Young, told KOMO News:

If we get separated, she gets on the bus without me, and I catch up with her at the dog park. She gets on in front of her house and she gets off at the park, three or four stops later.

“All the bus drivers know her. She just sits here like a person,” said one commuter. “She makes everybody happy. How could you not love this thing?”

Young says he gets about one call a week from people saying they’ve found his dog:

I have to tell them, “No, she’s fine.” She knows what she’s doing.
