Kelis has finally shared the recipe for her milkshake that brings all the boys to the yard

In 2017 she can teach you, but she’ll no longer charge.

ALTHOUGH SHE’S NOT the most relevant celeb in 2017, Kelis is an extremely talented woman. With more bangers than most people appreciate (Trick me, Bossy and Millionaire to name but a few), she has an above average musical repertoire.

Thank you @sneakshotphotography! I'm happy you enjoyed the food!!

Music aside, her greatest talent and perhaps her biggest passion is cooking. After her music career took off, Kelis became a chef and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school.

She’s not joking around. She has written cookbooks, launched a sauce line in America and had her own cooking show in the States too.

Now it very clear why the all of the boys would go to the yard for her milkshake.

If the quality of the food on her Instagram is anything to go by, then her milkshakes are probably going to be very, very nice.

Now the milkshake sounds very out there. It’s not the usual Oreo job you’re used to from Eddie Rockets.

She begins her instructional video (that celebrates National Chocolate Milkshake Day – which is today) with “Hi, I’m Kelis and people always ask what’s in my milkshake. Baileys, obviously.” OK, we can get behind that already.

baileys

She starts off with a few scoops of chocolate ice cream and some ginger beer. Weird combination, but she knows what she’s doing. Then she throws a bit of Baileys in over it.

Then the ingredients get a little bit more obscure. Not everyone’s going to be willing to go through the effort of acquiring them, so that’s probably how Kelis has got the upperhand on bringing the boys to the yard.

After the Baileys, she adds 5 pieces of candied ginger, cayenne pepper and blends it all up. She dips the rip of the glass in some honey and coats it with chilli cinnamon. Probably not something they have in your local Tesco, but if you’re intent on seeing if the boys come to your yard you’ll find a way to get it.

At this stage it looks really good.

She tops it with some ginger infused whipped cream and a piece of candied ginger. If you’d like to watch the whole video of Kelis preparing the milkshake so that you can give it a go yourself, you can do so here. Please report back with the number of boys that arrived to your yard.
