Baz and Nancy were the talk of Twitter last night.

THE MIGHT OF the Irish mammy took over Sky One last night, as Irish TV presenter Baz Ashmawy and his 71-year-old mother’s new show premiered.

50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy sees Baz taking Nancy on a whirlwind trip around the world trying out things like sky diving, scuba diving and crocodile wrestling.

It wasn’t long before #50WaysToKillYourMammy was trending on Twitter… much to some users’ consternation:

Thankfully most people using the hashtag were actually watching – and loving – the show. The Guardian has already called it “TV gold”, with the relationship between Baz and his mammy at the heart of the programme.
