BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT started its 11th season last night, and an 8-year-old comedian called Ned quickly stole the show (but maybe not for the right reasons).
When he came out on stage, the judges were immediately disarmed by his adorable little face:
Ahh, would you look at him. Isn’t he awful cute. Will we let him tell his little joke? Ah we will.
Why are people so excited about that talking dog on Britain’s Got Talent? Amanda Holden’s been on it for years!
JAYSUS. He went after all the judges and hosts Ant and Dec, but the Amanda Holden joke was by far the most savage of the lot.
As it turns out, Ned’s dad is a writer for the comedy series Not Going Out – and it seems some of that more adult humour has found its way into the youngster’s repertoire.
Amanda chuckled along during his bit, but revealed to The Sun that she had ‘words’ with his parents after the audition:
I have got a sense of humour, but I think he should temper his act to his age. I had words with his parents on the day. I don’t think any parent would let their child say that.
While some viewers also felt it was ‘rude’ and inappropriate…
…Others thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amanda herself appears to have shaken it off:
She’s a better sport than most. Ned ended up getting through, but it remains to be seen if his insult comedy continues to impress…
