Anna Faris is livetweeting getting ready for the red carpet with Chris Pratt, and it's weirdly compelling

GUARDIANS OF THE Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas next week and people are getting fierce excited altogether.

To coincide with the release, the film’s star Chris Pratt has been on the publicity trail and attending more red carpet events than you can shake a stick at.

Accompanying him to said events has been his wife Anna Faris, who has been providing fans with blow-by-blow updates of what it’s like to get ready for a red carpet event.

And it’s weirdly compelling.

For instance, here she is documenting her day getting ready for the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Anna Faris takes her sweet time getting into the shower. Just like the rest of us.

Ah, the luxury of getting your nails done in the privacy of your own home.

Look at all those people doing her up!

So many hands. So much glamour.

Meanwhile, she also provided some insight into how a male celebrity like Chris Pratt gets ready for a premiere.

You might think it’s just a case of throwing on a suit and flashing a winning smile, but there is a little more prep going on behind the scenes.

Behold the little mask (???) things on his face.

Just in the middle of a blowdry sesh.

Here’s the two of them looking positively spiffing as they head to the premiere.

Today, Pratt is due to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Faris is expected to deliver a speech at the event.

So she’s channeling her nerves by documenting her day getting ready.

When you’re going into the Irish oral and you’re absolutely bricking it:

It’s always nice to be reminded that celebrities are prone to sweat patches, too, isn’t it?

Ah, the dreaded ‘big event’ knickers.

And the requisite ‘getting ready’ pants.

Ugh, if only someone would do our makeup every morning before we left the house.

Mam: “We have to be in Mass in 20 minutes. Will you get dressed?”

Enough said, sister.

Okay, we defy you to look at this and not let out an involuntary “Aww…”

And finally they’re all out the door.

The trials and tribulations of being a Hollywood celebrity, eh?
