BACK IN 2014 when everything was right in the world, the news of an Azealia Banks collaboration with Grimes would have been extremely exciting.
In today’s world, however, it’s just really weird. That’s because Azealia Banks has been involved in numerous high profile scandals including promoting skin bleaching, sacrificing chickens and abusing Zayn Malik on Twitter with racist slurs.
Grimes has been giving Azealia a run for her money when it comes to strange behaviour. For example, the photograph below shows Grimes and her current boyfriend, billionaire Elon Musk, at a SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition.
Despite all of the drama, Azealia’s music career has been steadily continuing, and fans were fairly pleased with her latest single, Anna Wintour.
Grimes on the other hand, has been having difficulties with her label and has been unable to release her latest album. Despite that, we could be hearing new music from her soon. But not too soon.
Azealia Banks shared a post on her Instagram story claiming that she had been sitting in Elon Musk’s house alone for several days waiting on Grimes to come and make music with her.
I have no idea when she is coming back. I’m going to wait one more day then I’m going to go home.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the image of Azealia Banks quietly sitting in Elon Musk’s mansion alone? Just relaxing there like that Tiffany Pollard sitting on the bed meme.
In a later Instagram post, Banks joked that waiting in Musk’s home all alone felt like being in the house from ‘Get Out’.
There’s still no word on whether or not Grimes showed up in the end.
