BBC News mixes up the Irish and Indian Olympic teams

Hey! That’s us!

EARLIER THIS MORNING, BBC News posted a story on the Indian Olympic team’s suspension being lifted.

Only where there should have been a picture of the Indian team, a picture of the Irish Olympic team greeted us instead.

We get it. It happens. Newsrooms are tough. And Ireland and India do have the same first letter and all.

If you look a little closer (in case you can’t see the tricolour screaming out at you) you’ll see a woman holding a sign that says “Ireland”. And everyone wearing lovely green jackets. And Katie Taylor, leading the way.

They seem to have fixed it now, but we won’t forget. We never forget.

Thanks to Corné for the tip!
