Blur playing in Dublin this summer, but where did you stand on Blur v Oasis?

Blur will play at Imma in Dublin on 1 August.

BLUR WILL BE playing their first Irish gig in four years this summer, a gig at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham, Dublin.

Damon Albarn and co will play on Thursday 1 August, which probably rules them out of playing at Oxegen, which has moved this year to the first weekend in August.

The band last played in Ireland at the Punchestown festival in 2009 and most recently released a complete box set of their work called Blur 21.

Tickets for the IMMA gig go on sale this Thursday morning at 9am, priced €62.50.

Blur were one of the main players of the Britpop scene in the nineties, dueling with Oasis for the honour of number one chart positions, best haircuts, and general laddishness.

Both bands played in Ireland frequently in the nineties, with dates at The Point Depot, the RDS and Oxegen for Blur and Pairc Uí Chaoimh and Slane for Oasis.

Where did you stand on the Blur/Oasis divide though?
