How a Dub steals a car... to the tune of Blurred Lines

“You’re the best car in this estate…”

IT WAS THE second biggest hit of the summer*, but just what have we learned from Robin Thicke’s monster song Blurred Lines?

The lyrics teach us that even if something isn’t yours, you can have it anyway:

OK now he was close, tried to domesticate you,
But you’re a animal, baby it’s in your nature,
You don’t need no papers….

Thicke is talking about a woman, but Irish social media guru and YouTube whizz kid Clisare (Clare Cullen) is testing a hypothesis that the message of Blurred Lines is:

If you see something you like, it wants to come home with you.

Even a car. Especially a car.
