Bon Jovi UK tickets: £12.50... Bon Jovi Slane tickets: €79.50

I wanna lay you down in a bed of euro….

SO WHEN JON Bon Jovi’s brother Michael tweeted about Bon Jovi’s forthcoming tour, saying:

All shows on this tour will have a ticket for every budget… High and low price tickets.

… he must not have been talking about the Irish leg of the tour.

Bon Jovi will bring their Because We Can tour to Slane Castle on 15 June 2013 following a stadium tour of the England and Wales (taking in the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, Villa Park in Birmingham, City Stadium in Cardiff and the Stadium of Light in Sunderland) and then they’ll be back to play at Hampden Park in Glasgow on 3 July.

Tickets for Slane go on sale at 8am on 8 November and are priced at €79.50, with no indication yet from promoters MCD that there will be tickets on sale at higher or lower prices.

The Bon Jovi frontman said at a press conference at Slane Castle earlier that it was “always the goal” of the band to play at the Co. Meath venue.

Tickets for the UK gigs range in price from £12.50 (€15.50) for the budget seats to £125 (€155) for the swanky seats.

UK promoters AEG Live said that the band insisted on ticket prices that would be accessible to all, reports The Mirror.

Traditionally the Slane Castle gigs feature other high profile bands on the lineup, with a festival feel to the day long event, which may explain the higher prices.

Acts also often cite the high costs of bringing a tour across the Irish Sea when commenting on discrepancies between tickets prices in England, Scotland and Wales and prices in Ireland.
