BACK IN 2007, Britney Spears had a very public breakdown.
After losing custody of her two children and enduring a fractious relationship with the press, the then 26-year-old shaved her head and attacked a photographer’s car with an umbrella – all under the glare of paparazzi flashbulbs.
Images of the performer in a particularly fragile state – she had checked out of a rehabilitation facility just days previously – circulated all over the world, and general consensus would suggest that this period in her life should not be subjected to mockery.
One fan, however, didn’t get the memo, and chose to meet the much-loved performer while dressed as ’2007 Britney’.
Wearing an outfit reminiscent of the one she wore when attacking the pap’s car, this lad was all set.
And like the sweetheart she is, Britney actually posed alongside him.
Yes, she look uncomfortable and yes, her smile was strained, but she did it.
So, if Britney wasn’t going to call this lad out on a move most would consider hugely insensitive, her loyal fanbase were.
After posting the shot on his Instagram, Instagram user, uonderrrock, edited his original caption and then disabled comments… for obvious reasons.
So if they couldn’t call him out on his own page, they took to Twitter to express their disgust over the tasteless move.

It doesn’t matter how she sees herself this goes beyond Britney’s past. This is a mockery of serious mental health issues and it’s stuff like this that stops people from taking it seriously and for those suffering to reach out for help
