These Avengers stars are in trouble for calling female character a 'slut' and a 'whore'

This press tour is going from bad to worse.

THE AVENGERS AGE Of Ultron is released in Irish cinemas today, but its male stars have already put their foot in it.

Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner caused a bit of a backlash with comments made during an interview with Digital Spy. The pair, who play Captain America and Hawkeye joked about Scarlett Johansson’s character Black Widow, calling her a ‘slut’ and a ‘whore’.

In context, the comments were made when the topic of fan shipping between characters in the Avengers franchise came up, as Johansson’s character has been paired with many of the male characters.

Renner then said noted she has a prosthetic leg, as an apparent reason not to be bothered about her.
