James Arthur's Impossible is the Christmas number one in Ireland

The X Factor winner pipped A Song for Lily Mae at the post.

X FACTOR WINNER James Arthur has become the seventh consecutive winner of the reality show to claim the Christmas number one in Ireland.

According to the Irish Recorded Music Association ‘Impossible’ beat ‘Tiny Dancer – A Song for Lily Mae’ into the number two spot, although it does have the honour of being the best selling number two single in Ireland ever.


One Direction have the number one Christmas album with ‘Take me Home, while Love/Hate, series 1 – 3 tops the video chart.
