Conchita Wurst is bringing her beautiful beard to Dublin this month

CONCHITA WURST IS coming to Dublin for this month’s Pride Festival 2014.

The Eurovision winner (and her luxuriantly well-groomed beard) will perform at The George bar as part of their Glitterbomb stage on Friday June 27.

“I’m really looking forward to performing at The George and being part of the Dublin Pride Festival,” Wurst told Eurovision Ireland.

I want to spread my message of tolerance, acceptance and respect for people who are different – I know my Irish supporters will help me do just that.

One of the Irish dancers who’ll be performing with Conchita – who was the runaway Eurovision winner this year with her song Rise Like A Phoenix – tweeted:

And she’s received a rousing welcome from Irish Twitter:

Following her win in Copenhagen, Conchita appeared on the Graham Norton Show to talk about (among other things) her trademark beard.
