The Script frontman announces he's leaving The Voice UK

The Irish star is to leave after two seasons and “couldn’t be more proud of the show”.

THE BBC’S TAKE on The Voice is to lose another judge as Ireland’s Danny O’Donoghue, frontman for The Script, has just announced plans to leave the series.

On his Twitter he left the following message explaining his decision to leave:

O’Donoghue coached this year’s winning act, Andrea Begley from Tyrone who beat out hot favourite Leah McFall.

Jessie J also confirmed she was leaving the show recently leaving only Will.i.am and Tom Jones in their slots on the series.

Jamelia, who recently left the Irish version of the show, has expressed an interest in taking a slot on the UK version of the show.

We’d quite like to see another Irish star giving it a go on the BBC in a few months all the same.
