Beauty Q: Do you bother with 'body conditioner'?

Is it just a pointless extra step to add to your routine?

THERE ARE PLENTY of people out there who once mentioned to their mam or boyfriend that they like some of the stuff from Lush, who find that every single Christmas, birthday, or other holiday, they have a Lush set thrown at them, containing a mixture of products they love and products they’re not too pushed on.

These people likely have a drawer full of various body conditioners that they might use before they expire, but only if they remember to. These body conditioners are moisturisers that you use in the shower after you’ve had a wash, but before you exit the shower altogether.

At some stage or another, you’ve probably used a similar product (baby oil, or any other in-shower moisturiser) that wasn’t marketed as a ‘body conditioner’, but did the same thing. The marketing is pretty smart, because we all know how nice our hair feels after using a good conditioner, and we’d all like to replicate that feeling on the rest of our bodies.

Now there are plenty of people out there who’ll swear by the body conditioners that Lush make, particularly if you’re an individual who shaves in the shower, and their Buck’s Fizz one does smell absolutely incredible. But there are plenty of people out there who are two lazy or busy to add another step to their bathroom routine, who wouldn’t be into this at all. We’re wondering how many people actually bother with the whole ‘body conditioning’ thing.

Do you use any kind of ‘body conditioner’?
