THE XX, A TRIBE Called Quest and Duran Duran are among the main acts announced for this year’s Electric Picnic festival.

Interpol, Chaka Khan, Pete Tong and London Grammar will also be heading to Stradbally from the 1st to the 3rd of September.

Here’s a full list of the first acts announced for your perusal:

Father John Misty, Run The Jewels, Band Of Horses… not too bad at all, no?

The xx will headline Friday night, with A Tribe Called Quest and Duran Duran taking the Saturday and Sunday nights respectively.

If that’s left you with a hankering for a ticket, you might have to wait a bit – the festival completely sold out this morning before the line-up was even announced, leaving lots of punters disappointed.

Organisers confirmed that Sunday tickets were gone as of 9.05am and weekend tickets at 11am.

The official press release states “There isn’t a ticket left to sell”, though a small number will be available to Three mobile customers at a later date.

That’s that then. If you were lucky enough to get a ticket this morning, here’s hoping you’re happy with the lineup!
