SHE’S ALREADY GOT a recording credit to her name, despite only being five weeks old – and if yesterday’s reports are anything to go by, her name has already been trademarked by her protective parents.
Now the Carter Family (that’s Jay-Z and Beyoncé to most of us) have released the first images of their baby daughter, Blue Ivy, born on January 7.
Eschewing the probable riches they could have gotten through selling the snaps to a glossy magazine, however, they’ve taken a far more public-access route: setting up an account on Tumblr to welcome their girl into the world.
A handwritten message at the top of the page, which accompanies five photos of the heavily-coiffured child, reads:
We welcome you to share in our joy.Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives.
