This shop is selling jars of Galway air for a fiver a pop

A must have for every Galway visitor?

IT’S ALL GO in Galway today.

Not only  have they been awarded the title of one of Europe’s Capitals of Culture 2020, but there’s a new product on the shelves: Fresh Air from Galway Bay, selling at €5 a pop.

The Claddagh and Celtic Jewellery store at Quay Lane in the city is selling the jars, which are bottled in partnership with O’Connor’s pub in Salthill.

Labour councillor Níall McNelis owns the shop and told DailyEdge that it’s all a bit of fun but they are looking at maybe expanding the range to include Cliffs of Moher Air, Aran Islands Air and maybe even Knock Air.

The idea is that you get the jar and bring it back to wherever your from, gather your family round the table, open it, and breathe it in. You might end up with a Claddagh accent or an Irish accent or whatever.

And he says if you want to splash out and get four bottles…

… there’d be great drying in it.

We’ll take 100!
